EXPLORE CASTLE ROCK.

ICONIC BUTTE, HOMETOWN TRADITIONS, AND TRAILS RIGHT OUT YOUR DOOR.

WELCOME TO CASTLE ROCK

Castle Rock sits along I-25 about 28 miles south of downtown Denver and 37 miles north of Colorado Springs. It is the county seat of Douglas County and was founded back in 1874. The town is named for the castle-shaped butte that watches over everything.

Every year since 1936, the town has lit a giant star on top of that rock, usually the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It is the kind of tradition that tells you a lot about this place. Downtown has local restaurants, breweries and a real sense of community.

The outdoors is a big part of life here. Philip S. Miller Park covers 300 acres with trails and the Miller Activity Center, and open space surrounds many neighborhoods. You get a small town feel with both Denver and the Springs within reach.

REAL ESTATE IN CASTLE ROCK

Castle Rock has grown a lot, so you will find a wide mix. Older homes near downtown, established subdivisions like Founders Village and Plum Creek, and newer master-planned communities like The Meadows, Crystal Valley Ranch, Castlewood Ranch and Terrain. Townhomes and paired homes are in the mix too, and there are larger lots and acreage on the edges of town.

Pricing generally runs mid to upper range for the metro, with newer builds and view lots at the higher end. Many buyers come for the space, the Douglas County schools and the community traditions. It is a great fit if you want room to breathe and do not mind a little extra drive to Denver.
