EXPLORE HIGHLANDS RANCH.

A PLANNED COMMUNITY WITH TRAILS, REC CENTERS AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS EVERYWHERE.

WELCOME TO HIGHLANDS RANCH

Highlands Ranch sits along C-470 in Douglas County, about 13 miles south of downtown Denver. The first homes went up in 1981, and today it is the largest community in Douglas County. It is technically unincorporated, so services come through the Highlands Ranch Metro District and the county.

The whole place was designed around getting outside. Miles of trails, green belts and parks wind through every neighborhood, and the community association runs recreation centers that residents use like a second living room. Add in mountain views and it is easy to see why people stay.

Then there is the history. The Highlands Ranch Mansion, built between 1891 and 1904, still stands as a reminder of the area's ranching roots. Mix that with Town Center restaurants and a big backcountry open space, and you get a suburb with real character.

REAL ESTATE IN HIGHLANDS RANCH

Highlands Ranch is mostly single-family homes built from the 1980s on, with townhomes and paired homes mixed in. Neighborhoods are often grouped by area, like Northridge, Eastridge, Southridge and Westridge, plus the Backcountry area on the south side. Older sections near Broadway tend to have mature trees, while newer pockets offer bigger floor plans and open space views.

Pricing lands in the mid to upper tier for the south metro, and homes here hold their appeal thanks to the amenities and Douglas County schools. Most homes are part of the community association, so buyers get rec center access along with the covenants. It is a great fit if you want a lot of lifestyle built right in.
